West Bloomfield is probably the best last place team in the state. Larry Johnson and Spencer Parker are both heavy hitters in the post, but unlike the past two seasons, there has been a lack of consistency on the perimeter for head coach Andre White's bunch. Junior Nick Leventis looked nice on Tuesday going for 13 points – including back-to-back 3-pointers in a fourth quarter rally – in a close loss to North Farmington, 65-68, in the overly-competitive OAA Red.

Madison Heights Madison's sophomore super stud, Damon Bozeman has been playing like a man possessed lately. Bozeman registered his fourth consecutive double-double on Tuesday, collecting 15 points and 15 rebounds in the Eagles 53-41 road win at Port Huron

Southfield-Lathrup may have just gotten its record up over the .500 mark with its 56-50 win Tuesday night at Pontiac on the road, but Mike Avery's bunch of top grade ballers are a lot more dangerous than their record might indicate. The Chargers are 8-7 overall, but sit 5-3 in the OAA Red and in a four-way tie for first place with Clarkston, Southfield, and North Farmington. Roy Marble, Jr. continues to go all ROY MARBLE, JR aka JESUS SHUTTLESWORTH every game and Bryan Coleman is a real gem.

I know its pretty obvious by now and that I've said it before, but I am gonna say it again:

WOW, is the OAA Red down-right bloody this year. The cliché, "No Off Nights" is getting a whole new meaning in 2010 in Southeast Michigan.

Pete Matyla is doing a tremendous job at FH Harrison this season. The former Tom Negoshian protégé as an assistant at North Farmington, has the Hawks hoops program headed in the right direction. He's instilled pride and much-need stability on the sidelines while getting the most out of the talent on his roster, something many of his predecessors failed doing prior to his installment as head coach just a week prior to the season tipped off. Harrison rolled to its tenth win of the season on Tuesday, crushing Royal Oak 69-38 behind another balanced outing by the high-flying Hawks. Senior David Evans, an underrated talent on the perimeter, scored a game-high 14 points. Jalen Kelly had 13 points and Raymond "Big Play" Hall had 11 points. Devon Funches, a raw but rising post prospect, continued his solid play for Matyla, scoring 8 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
