Finding A Way.....Again

The motto for the 2012 Southfield Christian boys basketball team is 'Find a Way'.
Well, the Eagles have been finding a way all season long and it was more of the same on Thursday night in the state semifinals where SCS slid past Muskegon Catholic Central 78-74.
Some thoughts;
Chris Dewberry (25 points, 8 boards) has the most pure shot in the area!!!
"He's the best shooter I've ever coached, by far," said Eagles first-year head coach Josh Baker.
Bakari Evelyn (14 pts, 5 asst, four steals, game-securing ft with three seconds left) might be the best freshman in the county !!!(Sorry Buda!).
You can't stop Gavin Toma (20 points, 4-4 from 3-point distance), you can only hope to contain him!!!…….come to think of it, that's a pretty difficult task too.
I give Lindsey Hunter III MAD PROPS for how much he's improved and expanded his game this year. He might have been popping off 25 a night last season, but's he's a considerably more of a complete player now, scoring 16 a night and doing more of the little things that every team needs done by its leader. His shot selection is off-the-charts better than it was as a junior and he's just tougher in a lot of different and important ways. Facing off against a nails tough MCC defense, L-THRIZZLE went for 17 points and 7 rebounds, including scoring five straight in the final 90 seconds to win the game for SCS down the stretch. Wonder where he got that big-play ability from? Someone once told me his dad could play a little hoops back in the day as well!!!
Lindsey Hunter IV was a little icy on Thursday in the semis….don't expect it to stay that way. Burney is predicting a 15-5-4 spot by L-Quatro in the finals…..Mark it down!!!
Sophomore reserve Harding Fears (5 rebounds) gave TEAM BAKER some real high quality minutes off the bench.....Can u say X-FACTOR?
Entering the Class D State Finals on Sat morning against Climax-Scotts, the Eagles are 23-2 and haven't lost a game to a Class D team all year
