A few local prep quarterbacks who made names for themselves in 2010, were gone from the scene last season and will be back with a vengeance this fall
Nick Wallace (Madison Heights Madison) – Pure passer that stepped in as a sophomore and led Madison to a district title when starter Tony Lowry went down with an injury late. He was hurt last year, but will be in for a prolific senior campaign throwing the pigskin considering SUPER STUD SOPH Juan Johnson will be on his hip in the backfield keeping teams honest. Also a star and college recruit on the basketball floor, who started at center and was an all-league pick on the Eagles league and district championship squad last winter.
Collin O' Donnell (Walled Lake Northern) – Started as a sophomore in place of injured Kurt Thomas in 2010, then backed him up last season as a junior. All that experience will translate into a huge year under center for O'Donnell on a Knights team Burney sees as a true SLEEPER!!!
Brandon Newvine (Pontiac Notre Dame Prep) – Came into call signals for Clarkston as a freshman in 2010, even starting a playoff game due to a slew of Wolfpack injuries, and will now be looking to shake some things up in the Catholic League. Burney sees good things ahead for Newvine the CHSL NEWBY!
