Five For Fighting – Top performances from Friday Night's prep football action in the OC
Spencer McCourt-Nate Emery (BH Lahser) – The lynchpins of the Lahser offense were in BEAST MODE all night long in the Knights 30-20 win on the road over Ferndale, with McCourt throwing for 195 yards and four touchdowns and Emery running for 175 yards on only 16 carries
Ian Eriksen (Clarkston) – Registering his second colossal outing in a row rushing the pigskin for TEAM K-RICH, Eriksen ran for 185 yards and three touchdowns in the Wolfpack's 47-7 torching of West Bloomfield. This kid reminds of a young Dakota Bender!!! WAR the C-Town behemoth O-Line aka 'THE HUNGRY HOGS'!!
Zach Arnold-Corey Ester (Lake Orion) – The Dragons sterling senior slotback tandem roughed up the Troy Athens defense in the most efficient of manners. Arnold rushed for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns on a mere five touches, while Ester toted the rock 10 times for 130 yards and one score in Lake Orion's 68-20 drubbing of the Red Hawks down at Ford Field
(tie) The Stoney Creek Defense – TEAM ZUBE's 'D' put a big goose egg on the board – not to mention two safeties –, shutting out Pontiac 34-0 in the Phoenix's own crib. Zube's COUGARTOWN PROWLERS are fixing to be the feel-good story of the OAA this fall and have outscored their opponents by a score of 89-6 through the first two weeks of the season. CAN U SAY WATCH OUT WORLD, HERE COMES 'THA CREEK!!!!!
(tie) Lorenzo Collins-Ryan Brand (FH Harrison) – Keying the Hawks to victory with their playmaking, Collins ran for 170 yards on a Adams defense designed to stop him and Brand, only a sophomore in his second varsity start, looked reliable in the pocket, connecting with THE G-FUNKMASTER himself, Garius Coleman for two touchdowns on beautifully executed plays of 10 and 35 yards respectively in Harrison's 19—7 victory
Dellonte Johnson (Oak Park) – From out of nowhere again, Johnson played yet another outstanding game under center for TEAM CARTER, scoring 4 touchdowns (2 through the air and 2 on the ground) in navigating the Knights to a 37-8 hammering of Southfield-Lathrup
