Speed Demon

Albion felt the need for speed.
So they looked to Walled Lake Western fleet-footed senior football star Jake Neracher
Neracher, a fast, soft-hand specialist wide out, who can play in the slot or on the end going deep, announced he will be playing his college pigskin at Albion this week. Under 15th year head coach Craig Rundle, Albion went 6-4 in 2012, a year removed from winning an MIAA crown. More than a dozen players from Oakland County dotted Rundle's Britons' roster last season.
Also a standout in track and field, Neracher helped lead the Western Gridders to a second straight district championship back in the fall. Checking in at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, he caught 40 balls for 635 yards and five touchdowns, registering a pair of two-score games and consistently exploiting opposing secondaries with his skill and savvy.
