The rumor mill is churning out some pretty buzz-worthy news regarding the OC prep football world.
There are rumblings that Detroit Loyola's Malik McDowell, a dominant 6-foot-7, 275-pound defensive lineman and one of the state's top recruits, will move to Southfield for his senior year.
        Are you kidding me?
McDowell and Michigan-commit Lawrence Marshall, Southfield's terror on the edge and a vicious pass-rush specialist, would combine forces to be the most gruesome twosome in the trenches in the state, possibly the whole Midwest.

Over the past 2 years, McDowell, rated a 4-star recruit by most scouting services, has accumulated 28 quarterback sacks (he had 16 in 2012) and averages 65 tackles and 3 fumble recoveries per game. Currently, he holds endless offers from major D1 schools, including Michigan, Michigan State, Florida and Alabama.
