Mergers & Acquisitions

Some news about a few local landings and departures
Tori Duffey – The dynamic Miss Duffey is on her way back home to the hooping heartland of the Midwest after a year playing D1 basketball out east at the University of New Hampshire. She announced she was transferring to Madonna this week. What an unbelievable snag for the Material Girls of Madonna!! Duffey is a nails-tough presence in the backcourt that shoots the rock and takes it to the rack with the best around. As a senior at Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes, TD helped spark the Lakers to a third-straight state championship, after three years in the public school ranks where she was a multi-year all-league pick out of the KLAA at Walled Lake Central.
Desmond Fitzpatrick – This projected blue-chipper on the football field at the wide receiver position is transferring from Farmington Hills Harrison to Farmington. Only going into his sophomore year, Fitzpatrick already has multiple D1 scholarship offers (including one from IU of the Big 10), without having taken a varsity snap yet. That shows just how much college scouts think of this kid's upside. Watch out for the Kyle Collins-to-Dez Fitzpatrick hook-up to frequent the Falcons' offensive attack these new couple seasons
Jamar Antwine – Another soon-to-be varsity football stud is on the move with Antwine jumping from Orchard Lake St. Mary's to Pontiac. This slippery and speedy jitterbug can hurt defenses multiple ways, lining up in the backfield or on the edge/in the slot at wide out. He's someone that shows well at offseason showcase camps and if that success translates to the varsity level for the Phoenix than it should be watch out for the OAA these next two years
Matt Rogers – The former C-Town baseball and basketball standout will be going D1 on the diamond next spring, recently signing a National Letter of Intent with Evansville, following a season honing his skills at the JUCO level. Rogers, a quick-stick first basemen, was on Clarkston hoop squads and diamond contingents that captured district titles.
