The Glitter Girlz

These young ladies in yellow pack some power punch, don't they?.
As in an all-time ELECTRICAL STORM the likes that would make Ben Franklin himself beam with pride!!
I'm talking about the Farmington Hills Mercy Marlins softball squad this spring that is smashing long balls like crazy and shattering state-records in the process.
A week removed from claiming the program's first Catholic League championship in a decade, the Marlins won a second straight district title Saturday and blasted out five home runs while doing so, one of them launched by sophomore MEGA slugger Alex Sobczac, the newly-anointed OC POWER QUEEN.
With the aforementioned efforts, Mercy extended its state-record homer rampage to 51 dingers on the campaign and Sobczac tied the all-time single season state mark for round-trippers on the softball diamond with her 18thth trot around the bases. The prior record was held for the past 34 years by Melinda Van Gills of Pentwater (1979).
The MIGGIE-MANNY-type power surge known as the 2013 Marlins' fearsome offense will continue in the regionals next week.
All Burney can say is; What a season, what a season!!!
