Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

The Highlanders gridiron crew will run hot and cold this season in the best way possible.
Translation: Rochester Hills Adams has a "Fire&Ice" backfield on the offensive side of the football in their line-up this fall that might just be causing some headaches for defenses around the OAA.
Let's meet the fellas;
FIRE: Jordan Shive – Lightning-bolt of a tailback-slotback that missed last year with an injury and is ready to blaze his way onto the scene in 2013
ICE: Clarence Broadnax – Bruising rusher that loves to bang his way between tackles and carry opposing tacklers on his back for extra-yardage, but can also hit the edge and beat defenders with his speed.
Adams QB, senior captain and MSU-commit, Matt Sokol and the Highlanders faithful licking their chops right about now!!!
