The Near Future

Just around the bend in the Jungle up in Clarkston, a pair of burgeoning young stallions will be blossoming into full-fledged prep stardom soon.
As in next school year.
Here's a sneak preview;
Nolan Eriksen – The last name tells you all you need to know. All-state senior tailback and C-Town all-time football great Ian Eriksen's baby bro is about to go BUCKWILD for the defending D1 state champs in the Wolfpack. Nolan is just as fast, if not faster, than his older sibling and tore up the JV circuit this past season as a sophomore before getting the call-up to varsity for the state-title run last month. He'll be teaming with returning power-rushing specialist Centrus Williams to give Clarkston another punishing ground attack in the club's quest for the repeat. This kid is going to follow in his big bro's footsteps and has the chance to raise the Eriksen family legacy even higher than it already is.....that's saying quite a bit, yet if you see this young man run with the rock, it's really not that hard to believe.
Foster Loyer – The city's "Next Big Thing" on the high school hardwood. Currently only in the 8th grade, Loyer sometimes scrimmaged with TEAM FIFE in the offseason, impressing everyone with his natural composure, game IQ and ability to more to hold his own on the varsity level as barely a 13-year old. Word around the program is that he's already penciled into a starting spot in the backcourt on varsity for the 2014-2015 campaign. Without question Lawyer is the most heavily-regarded up-and-coming basketball prospect the Wolfpack has seen since Dane Fife, Coach Dan's youngest son, the state's Mr. Basketball in 1998 and a McDonald's All-American prior to a stellar career in the Big Ten at Indiana University. Loyer is the TRUTH. Be afraid, be VERY AFRAID!!
