2 (tie) Bloomfield Hills – Burney's recently come to this conclusion: Black Hawks senior center Yante Maten might be the best big guy in the entire state……YEAH I SAID IT!!....Note to UofM & MSU, get down to The Hills and get in on the recruiting action

3 Southfield Christian – Calling my shot: Eagles won't lose another game the rest of this season….TAKE IT 2 THA BANK!!

4 (tie) Birmingham DCD – B.R.A.Y. could spell BRESLIN by season's end

4 (tie) OL St. Mary's – Jason Boswell is going to be one of the area's top point guards this winter…think; smart, slippery, tough

5 RH Adams – Ahkemji Williams should consider changing his last name to EVER and his first name to GREATEST…..and then when the Highlanders raise his jersey to the rafters everyone who ever walks into the Adams gym will know the TRUTH….No. 1 player in school history?

6 Holly – THE REAL DEAL HOLYFIELD……'NUFF SAID!!

7 (tie) WL Western – Marcus Bailey is a primetime prowler in the post, one of the hardest-working power forwards in the area…guaranteed double-double every outing…his pops calls him "Tank" and its appropriate….this kid just mauls the opposition, terrorizing them, hounding them into submission  

7 (tie) WL Central – Vikes senior Phil Nelson has the competition in a FULL NELSON and is making them scream for mercy!!!

8 Troy Athens – Welcome back, boys….Burney's thinking the Red Hawks are going to be staying for a while this time!!!

9 Birmingham Brother Rice – Considerably better than most people thought and that's a credit to the whole TEAM SHAFFER coaching staff (shout outs to Coach Kal and Coach LMac)

10 Oak Park – Robert Walton is a sleeper stud in the OAA, Rodney Scales is an emerging mega force in the paint...will climb back higher in the rankings in the next few weeks
