It's finally baseball season and around the OC that means Birmingham Brother Rice diamond-cutting time.

Alright let's ORANGE CRUSH Roll Call it for the 2014 campaign;

Matt Ruppenthal (P) – PURE POWER on the mound, most imposing starting hurler in the state (oh, yeah, he can shred like a Big Leaguer with a bat in his grasp and play a mean SS, too....all Burney can say is...WOW!!)

Nick Plummer (OF) – Nick the Stick is the definition of FIVE TOOL, just so skilled in so many ways

Ty Kiafoulis (professional slugger) – This kid has such a sweet stroke at the plate….a threat to go YARD every at bat

Randy Righter (P/IF) – If loving this DIAMOND DANDY is wrong, I don't want to be right….The most underrated player in the state (TAKE IT 2 THA BANK!!), does it all and does it with class

Alex Malzone (IF/P) – The Human Highlight Zone aka the OC Golden God has the Midas Touch….anything he lays his hands on (a football, a baseball bat, mitt) turns to bright, shining gold…..this spring will be more of the same

Sammy Stevens (C) – The consummate field captain behind the plate sporting some heavy lumber and a cannon of an arm to keep opposing baserunners at bay

Freddy Jehle (IF) – "Fab 5 Freddy" has the slickest glove in Metro Detroit……YEAH, I SAID IT!!

Bobby Cross (IF/P) – Mr. Hot Sauce himself aka Hot SIZZLE BOBBY CRIZZLE is ready to UNLEASH THE FURY on the comp in his final season on the OC prep diamond….WATCH OUT!!

Johnny Garry (OF) – JG is a Burney Sleeper Special….think TNT..…this kid is ready to EXPLODE in the stat sheet in 2014 (and beyond)

Tommy Lentz (UTL) – Just like his big bro, this guy can really hack at the dish

Dominic Downs & Davis Feldman (OF) – A pair of junior stalwarts that will patrol the outfield and carry their weight at the plate and on the base paths

Jeff Timko, Preston Pilat, Karl Kauffman – This three-pack of sensational sophomores will do some serious damage this spring…YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!
