We've got some pretty good kickers booting the prep pigskin around this football season in Oakland County. And as everyone knows, a solid leg can be the difference between playoff and success and going home early…..just as the Lake Orion Dragons and their fans who thank god every day for Jeff Heath's, whose miracle 48-yard FG as time expired back in 2009 catapulted the Green and White to Ford Field

Here are some of Burney's favorite local prep placekickers:

Alex Barta (Clarkston) – IMO Barta is the best kicker in the area!!!!

Kyle Braun (Berkley) – This two-sport star was a big reason why the Bears prospered on both the gridiron and the soccer pitch in 2010

Brandon Buckner (FH Harrison) – Simply put, CONSISTENT as humanly possible!!!

Nate Terry (OLSM) – Like Buckner, Nate Terry is the picture of consistency!!!

Andrew Toth (Brother Rice) – This junior is an up-and-coming star

Sean Murphy (Troy) – Burney's pick for SUPER LEG SLEEPER in 2011…TAKE IT 2 THE BANK

Jeremy King (Lake Orion) – Has looked great kicking for the Dragons this year

Olivia Pacquette (Clawson) – She is woman, hear her ROAR!!! My main homegirl Olivia is MAD NICE when she laces up those cleats!!!

Sandy Mouch (Troy Athens) – Will win at least one game for the Red Hawks before the 2011 schedule is through……MARK THAT DOWN!!!!!

Ryan Cesiel (RH Adams) – The Highlanders' season could end up riding on the foot of this steady kicker and if so, Burney knows Cesiel will come through in the clutch

Kyle Bambard (WL Western) – One of the best sophomores in the county with a cannon of a leg and an arm……expect to see KB calling signals for the Warriors at quarterback in 2012

Sterling Johnson (Birmingham Seaholm) – Not only is my main homeboy SJ a top-notch linebacker extraordinaire, he's got a BULLETT OF A BOOT!!

Jake Doetch (WOLL) /Connor Francek (RO Shrine) – Could be the two best small school kickers in the state!!!

Mike Ray (BH Cranbrook) - Repping the Cranes hard core!!!
