Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Anthony Gunn has taken the Catholic League by storm
Pontiac Notre Dame Prep's sophomore football star is in the process of building a reputation for himself as one of the top up-and-coming players in the CHSL.
Gunn transferred to NDP from Ortonville Brandon. As a FAB FROSH with the Blackhawks last season, he was named to the All-Flint Metro team.
This year, the fast-rising wide out/defensive back is a major reason why the Fighting Irish are 6-0 and ranked No. 6 in the state in Division 4.
He's destroying teams on offense, joining forces with quarterback Joe Kutil to form a mighty monstrous passing tandem and slicing and dicing them on defense as well, showing his skills in the secondary, already snaring quite a few clutch interceptions through the first half of the season.
Don't sleep on this kid, because Gunn is shooting for the MOON and by the time he's a senior in 2014 he might just well get there….aka earning a D1 scholarship!!!
