Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Stoney Creek alum Eric Fisher is big time.
The current CMU Chippewa is projected as a first-round NFL Draft pick.
The 6-foot-7, 295-pound offensive lineman has been dominating practices at the Senior Bowl this week down in Alabama. There is a chance he could be the first line prospect taken in the entire draft come April.
This guy is a BOSS, a HOSS and the PRINCE of the PANCAKKE!!!
A multi-year starter at left tackle for the Chips up in Mount Pleasant, Fisher buoyed an O-Line unit that only allowed 15 sacks in 2012, despite an out-of-conference schedule where CMU faced numerous BCS schools.
While at Stoney Creek in the late 2000s, Fisher starred on the football field and the basketball floor.
