Cougar Can-Do

Cam Thomas might be gone, but South Lyon East's new-found football tradition is being carried on by Wade Morris. Even though his favorite field general is off to play at Western Michigan, Morris (5-foot-11, 165 pounds) will still be one of the area's most difficult-to-defend wide outs. He caught 55 balls (tops in Oakland County) for 876 yards and 7 touchdowns in a historic Cougars campaign last fall where the team qualified for its first playoff appearance in only its fifth year of existence. Morris is shifty and fast, smart and workmanlike in his approach to the game. His versatility allows him to line up in the slot and go across the middle or on the edge allowing him to use his quicks and off-the-line skills to go deep and stretch the field. Don't sleep on this Cougartown grid stud in 2013.
