Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Walled Lake Western senior boys basketball star Jerald Booker, one of the OC true gems in the backcourt the past three years, went NEXT LEVEL this week, signing with Concordia University.
Booker is a natural playmaker at the point, equally devastating scoring and distributing the rock. He's a fearless leader and game-changer of a floor general, a genuine coach on the hardwood, averaging 17 points, five assists and five rebounds per game the past two seasons. Booker captained the Western Warriors to a KLAA North crown in 2015, earning first-team all-league honors.
Concordia finished 18-13 this winter.

Jerald Booker is one of the MOST underated players in the state. Concordia got a steal.
