Here is a list of prep basketball players that Burney expects big performances from in the state tournament:

Nick Tatu (Clarkston) – This kid is getting better and more dangerous every game - no longer simply an expert marksman.  He's starting to remind me of former Wolfpack star Brandon Pokely (Western Michigan) w/ a better move to the hoop.

Rob Laney (Novi) – Injuries over the last few seasons have limited this multi-dimensional dynamo's exposure, but he's back W/ a VENGANCE, healthy and playing some SUPER FRESH basketball! Laney's presence in the Wildcats lineup will spell repeat district championship for head coach Corey Heitsch, Samer "The Big Sham Wow" Ozeir, Chris "The Million Dollar Man" Milon and company next week!

Courtney Williams (AH Avondale) – This mega-talented hoopstress is balling at one of the highest clips in the area….& U CAN TAKE THAT 2 THE BANK!

Chris Fowler (Birmingham DCD) – In my opinion, there's no better point guard in the county right now!

Lexie Robak & Carlee Cottrell (Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes) – The trey-balls will be flying and SWOOSHING for this pair of ace Lady Laker snipers….I predict more than 30 trifectas between these two over the next few weeks as well as REPEAT state crown (come on Blu Cru, let's go get my homegirl, Carlee aka "Nothing But Net" Cottrell, her first RING!)

Max Aleshire (MH Bishop Foley) – The best outside shooter and human SPARK PLUG nobody knows about……YET
