Blogs > Burney's Bytes

Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Another Big Mac Attack

Kerri McMahan is almost too good to be true as a high school athlete

The Novi SUPERBALLER is not only a fearsome and intelligent point guard on the girls basketball floor, committed to play D1 hoops at Akron, on Saturday she became the individual state-champion in the long jump in track and field.
What can't this young lady do and do GREAT?
McMahan also runs cross country. On the hardwood, she averaged 12 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals back in the winter for the league-champion Wildcats.
KMAC is the Real Deal HOLYFIELD at whatever sport she chooses. One cool, calm customer in so many regards and just a pure winner and competitor in every way.
