Blogs > Burney's Bytes

Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

More The Better

The G Force will be in Ann Arbor for the next few years, doing his thing under center.
This week, recent Novi Detroit Catholic Central grad Garrett Moores, announced he will be walking on at the University of Michigan for his college football.
Moores quarterbacked Catholic Central into the Division 1 state championship game last fall, showing a composed and heady presence calling signals in only his first year starting for the Shamrocks on the gridiron.
He can run an offense with the best there is in the OC floor general Class of 2013…..That's a Certified Burney Guarantee!!
Last winter, Moores was a standout forward on the CC hoops squad. In the Catholic League quarterfinals, he went buckwild on the hardwood against arch-rival Brother Rice, dropping a double-double (24 points, 12 rebounds) in a thrilling win.
