Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Pontiac Notre Dame Prep girls basketball star Sarah LewAllen lined up her college plans over the weekend.
LewAllen, NDP's 5-foot-9 all-league combo guard, committed to Michigan Tech University, one of the better womans cage program in the GLIAC.
YES, Ladies and gentlemen, she's headed NORTH for her next-level balling.
Last winter as a junior, she averaged 10 points, four assists and two steals per game on a Fighting Irish club that was 15-7.
Michigan Tech, located in the Upper Peninsula, finished the 2013 campaign 21-9. Back in 2011, the Huskies were national runner-up in D2.
Holly's Nic Stoll, a strong and efficient 6-foot-7 power forward, redshirted at Michigan Tech and will have freshman-eligibility next winter in the frontcourt for the Huskies mens hoops squad.
