Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Southfield-Lathrups' Antoinette Miller and Taiye Bello will give Farmington Hills Harrison's Amber Stephens and Kristen Nelson a run for their money this year for best inside-outside tandem of underclassmen on the local girls basketball scene .
Miller (5-foot-6) is an electrifying, lightning quick combo guard. Bello is a beast on the blocks, exhibiting a soft touch and outstanding foot work for a 6-foot-1 banger.
Both have an undying love of the game that shines through when you watch them go at it on the hardwood and both played varsity last winter as freshmen; Bello at Metro Detroit lady hoops power Lathrup and Miller at Ferndale, where she started in the backcourt and picked up All-OAA honors on an Eagles team that captured a Class B district title.
They have each already garnered multiple Division I college scholarship offers apiece.
Much like Stephens and Nelson at Harrison, Miller and Bello have a style and grasp of the game way beyond their years. They're playmakers, Point Blank!
Man, is it going to be exciting in the OAA Red this season….so many PRIMETIME PERFORMERS it's ridiculous!!
But keep a special eye out for this Chargers duo of Baby Baller dynamos, cuz Miller and Bello are going to be like a new school version of Lebron and Melo from back in '03!!....GUARNTEED......MARK THAT DOWN!
