Blogs > Burney's Bytes

Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Even Steven

I need another dose.
That's would be Round 4 of Farmington Hills Mercy and Birmingham Marian on the girls hardwood.
These two squads are as evenly matched as evenly matched can possibly be.
They're two of the most complete and cohesive girls hoops crews I've seen in the OC in quite a while.
They're fun to watch and they play the right way.
Sunday at Calihan Hall for the Catholic League crown was EPIC. "The Mercy Miracle" for the ages.
In a trifecta of nip-and-tuck dandies, the Marlins lead the seasons series 2-1.
Burney wants more!!!
If both club take care of business, that means one thing: Does the word BRESLIN mean anything to you people. Yeah, that's right, the final four, for the right to play for all the marbles in SPARTYLAND.
Hoop Gods, do your boy Burney a favor and help a brother out, he's needs some more MERCY-MARIAN MADNESS
