Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Rochester Adams alum Matt Rea, a former Highlanders football stud, was drafted this week into the CFL, selected in the fourth round by the Saskatchewan Roughriders (34th overall).
Rea graduated from Michigan State, after starting his college gridiron career in the Ivy League at Penn. Rea is a fullback with a smashmouth mentality and the perfect TEAM PATRITTO pedigree. While in high school, Matty NICE was a four-year varsity letterman, played on three OAA league title teams and was a captain his senior year in 2010.
