Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

The Cougar Den needs a new coach. Stoney Creek girls basketball coach Brad Crighton has stepped down to spend more time with his family.
His absence will be greatly felt. Crighton was the architect of the Creek's ascent to the top of the OC Lady Hoop scene. This past winter, he took his Cougars into their sixth straight Class A district championship game. His squads always competed with heart, hustle and class.
As a prepster himself, Crighton was an outside gunner extraordinaire for the Rochester Adams Highlanders in the 1990s.
1 Comments:
It's spelled Crighton. Also he did coach JV Boys Basketball for a time and has coached top notch players such as Brittney Nelson, Gabby Yurik, and Maria Zandi. Just a suggestion.
