Blogs > Burney's Bytes

Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Training Camp Report - Rochester

Rochester Falcons 2013-2014 boys basketball team
Players to watch:
Mike Murri – Dynamo of an athlete on the wing that will take on the responsibility as the team's No. 1 scoring option this year and go BERZERK aka M&M AKA MIKE MURRI, Got it? Good!
Jason Lee – Consistent as they come at the point guard spot
Anthony Williams – This out-of-state transfer from out East (Maryland) could make a big impact in the paint in the OAA this winter
Dametrius Magee – All-league grid star and the best athlete on the team that will be one of the most smothering defenders in the area and a finisher on the break
Terron Dumars – The last name tells you this kid can hoop….don't cha think?
Mike Halsey – Tirelessly tough guard-forward that can chip in doing a lot of different things
R.J. Kelley – Sniper off the bench in the backcourt that will keep defenses honest with his skillz sinking the 3-BOMB
