Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Troy Athens is a seasoned and savvy boys basketball club. TEAM SCOTT is senior-stacked and ready to go after a second straight league championship and third consecutive Class A district crown
Alright, Let's Red Hawks ROLL CALL It:
Timmy Shayoka – Endless motor in the backcourt, gutty finisher, gritty playmaker in the open court and half-court set, genuine leader, in other words think; GAME-CHANGER!!
Devin Mills – Speedy point guard with a killer first step and the penchant for getting "Microwave Vinne Johnson-type" hot from the field
Nick Santoni – Mad Gunner on the perimeter, cold-blooded in the clutch from downtown
John Van Hoef – One of the best big fellas in the OC, the consummate professional in the post, guaranteed double-double every night
Zak Spryzsak – Sir-Grind-A-Lot Special in the frontcourt, banger baller with an edge on the block and the skill to sink'em from outside
Max Adamo – "Sleeper" stud who battled injuries last year and will be a significant contributor at both guard spots this winter
Allen Smith & Jack Stover – Rugged role players coming off the pine
