Blogs > Burney's Bytes

Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Balling & Singing

Take a look at this music video recently put out by former Oakland County star prep athletes and current UofM Wolverines football players Jack Kennedy and Joe Reynolds.
Kennedy is one of the team's back-up quarterbacks and played his high school ball at Walled Lake Central.
Reynolds is a wide receiver. He had an all-state career as a prepster, both in football and track, at Rochester Adams, spearheading a high-powered offense, which also featured current CMU receiver Cody Wilson and Michigan State baseball pitcher Andrew Waszak, who was an all-league quarterback with the Highlanders.
Calling themselves JDK and Rey, their song is called 'Away' and it's pretty good.
Check it out:
