Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Guess who's back?
The Bloomfield Hills football program had welcomed the return of Nate (THE GREAT) Emery for the 2014 campaign.
Emery, a shifty playmaker in the backfield, will be the Black Hawks starting field general this season, after spending last year in the secondary in Macomb County at Utica Eisenhower.
As a Fab Frosh and Sensational Sophomore, Emery was an all-league tailback on repeat BH Lahser playoff squads, eclipsing the 1,000 yard plateau and becoming well- acquainted with the END ZONE.
What AWESOME news!!
Isn't GREAT to have NATE THE GREAT back in the mix in the OC….BURNEY SAYS…NO DOUBT!!
