Blogs > Burney's Bytes
Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Waterford Mott could surprise some people on the KLAA boys basketball scene this winter. The Corsairs are laced with crosstown transfers that should all make a difference and help TEAM JAYSON possibly compete for an unexpected league title by season's end.
Alright, let's ROLL CALL IT:
Juan Webb – Rock-solid at the point, tough-minded playmaker
DeMarcus Simonton – Moving off the ball this year should see this kid's game flourish on the perimeter
Timmy Williams – They call this young man "Grind-to-Shine" for a reason,
Kakuan Williams – Expect a MAJOR IMPACT in the paint from this former Kettering Captain & Cage Crawler with mad hops
Seth Terry – This TERRY is downright SCARY at the '4-spot'
Adam Uplegger – The ultimate "Glue Guy" that is the prototypical '0-to-100' HUSTLA!!
Emilio Pena – Latino Lightning off the bench with a smooth stroke from deep
TaJuan Daniel – Wiry wing that will provide energy in a reserve role
Kyle Kennedy – Active post presence that will hold things down on the blocks with K. Williams sitting out until January
