Blogs > Burney's Bytes

Burney's Bytes will focus primarily on the local preps sports scene, but will also touch on some college and pro athletics, mostly in regards to athletes who hail and have played high school sports in Oakland County. My goal for the blog is to be conversational and anecdotal, a more relaxed and free formal take on high school athletics than you see in regular game day coverage.

Not Your Average Joe

Break out the breakfast food because Jordan Jenkins is about to go HAM. The Novi Detroit Catholic Central senior football star is one of the most underrated player in the whole state. This kid can do it all from the middle linebacker spot. He's a virtual tackling machine. His closing speed and big-play ability is off the charts!!. This fall, expect to see my main man JJ toting the rock in the CC backfield. Wow...what doesn't this ROCKNATION superstar do? Point blank: BALLERS and SHOT CALLERS everywhere should be jealous. Does the term REAL DEAL HOLYFIELD mean anything to you? All you CC faithful appreciate the final year of the Jenkins era, pigskin studs likes this don't come around that often....THAT'S A CERTIFIED BURNEY GUARANTEE!!
